Rabindranath reached Tatsapuram in the night of 18th Nov. In the morning of 19th Nov. He was greeted in a local Gujrathi Hisgh School. After his lecture he was offered a purse of Rs. 750/-. After the ceremony they visited the Subbaraja Memorial School. He delivered a lecture  of 'true love' of Satyaban- Sabitri, then they started for Madras by train.
Having come to Madras he met again with Cousins. Cousins wrote;
" .. they sent from Madras for self andf partner to come for a long chat.Next day ( a sunday , 19th Nov, was one of my talks under the banyan tree at Adyar on Rabindranath's gitanjali., a weekly commentary that lasted fro Oct to March . Rabindranath wanted to come."
But he could not fulfill his desire. Andrews refrained him from going by reminding him of his settled programme. Cousins added, " This would have been a priceless delight to all concernd. It would also have been a ordeal to me, as I was doing what he energitically depreciated in his writings, namely, developing a Tagore philosophy from the Tagore poetry." Due to his ill-health Rabindranath did not perform any programm in Madras. He only delivered a lecture at United Women's College where he explained the ideals of Viswabharati on 20th Nov.
it was only to propagate the ideals of Viswabharati Rabindranath took so much of trouble but he could secure very little contribution for Viswabharati this time.
Rabindranath reached  Bombay on 23rd Nov.
