After coming back to New York Rabindranath received an invitation from Wellesly College to read an essay. He accepted the invitation because he could fulfill the promise given to Prof. Woods of Boston as well as could attend the programme of delivering lecture to Harvard University  . On 6th Jan,1921, Rathindtranath Wrote a letter to Pearson that they would be going to Boston on 9th Jan and their address from that time would be Hotel Bellevue. He wrote another letter to Mrs. Moody asking her to please come with Pratima when she would be coming to Ithaca,NY. So, a big team of Rabindranath would be going to Boston. Prof. Woods had given to Rabindranath a tentative programme of his lecture in Boston on 18th Dec, which was altered during operation. From the Diary of Rathindranath, it was learnt that Rabindranath met with Prof.Woods in a lunch on 10th Jan,1921. In the evening he read a small essay "Education in India" in the dinner offered by East Asiatic Society. At the end of his reading he appealed the audience to form a centre of Culture of the East here. Almost all the Professors of Harvard university were present and most of them visited the countries of the East and were fond of Eastern Culture. All of them listened attentively the lecture of Rabindranath.
