" They tried their level best  to keep the surface water un-poluted They purified the water by applying medicine of six big ponds. The leaves on which the people take their lunch and breakfast were thrown here and there on the streets . They became rotten polluting the atmosphere and damaged the public health. The Principal of the department of Arts and Crafts Sreejukta Nandalal Basu took the responsibility of removing them with the help of 20 students. But the distribution of fresh water could not be made successful. Every evening they arranged showing small films of different epidemicdiseases and how to prevent them. People became eager to see all these. Apart from this they hung up several posters relating health.
The same activities had also been taken in the next Paus Mela.
