Rabindranath and Elmhirst (cont-2)

When Elmhirst was out for evening walk on 29th Nov, he was called by Rabindranath from the 2nd floor of Dehali to come upstairs.
Rabindranath thought that it might be Leonard would be willing to include more British officials in the Board of directors of Viswa Bharati. In that case the Institution would be bound by some rules and regulations. But Elmhirst said he had no such intention. He was of opinion that when the donors were coming  even from abroad, suitable impartial persons should be taken in the Board of Directors to maintain its transparency. Sopporting his view point Rabindranath said  the Consulate of USA, Head of  YMCA, K.T.Paul, Jagadish Chandra Basu and similar persons would be included. Rabindranath informed Elmhirst that if he liked he might live in Surul along with his practical set up. Rabindranath was also eager to implement as early as possible  the dream he kept in his mind so long. Leonard. too, did not waste time and started planning with Rathindranath, Santosh Chamndra,  Kalimohan Ghosh, Santosh Mitra and others.
From the diary of Elmhirst it was known on 30th Nov that in spite of being  attacked with fever Rabindranath took the charge of Acharya
Elmhirst was taking his lessen in Bengali language from Baroma, Hemlata Devi. Though he was progressing fast, he could not take down the running note of the lecture of Rabindranath and had to sick help from Pearson. He wrote in his diary the gist of the lecture.
Rabindranath, in his lecture, mentioned the existence of two types of human being - one; those who are inclined to earthly resources, tries always to increase his wealth by fair means or foul; second one; those who can keep them aloof from all such attraction, can move according to their ideals.
