Rabindranath's 59th Birth Day celebrated in Santiniketan

Rabindranath's 59th birth day was celebrated in Santiniketan. Kalidas Nag, Sukumar Roy, Prasanta Chandra Mahalanabis, Ex-student Arun Chandra Sen with his wife and others came from Calcutta.Kalidas Nag wrote in his diary;
" I rise early in the morning, bow down my head before the poet at his birth day and joined the meditation. We all came to his room and listened his talk on his religion or manifestation of his art from the poet. Kalidas Nag wrote that in the evening " Bangal Sabha" was held.
The students of Santiniketan staged the drama "  Bisarjan" and the third act of a sanskrit drama
 " Mahavir Charit". The first one was directed by Dinendranath and the second one by Bhim Rao Sashtri.
On 11th May Rabindranath wrote to Ramananda ;
"My birth day was celebrated as usual. The first part of my name was rstrong enough- and the second portion began to take its own place."
He called his two daughter " Santa" and "Sita" as "Sangjukta" he constructed a lyric " Prabasir Janya Prantarbasir Upahar" and sent it to them
Those who had come on the occasion of Rabindranath's birth day did not return on the next day( 9th May). Kalidas Nag wrote in his diary;
" It came up in our discussion about the stages of lyrics of the poet who made us understand the devlopment of tune of his lyrics by singing  songs from 1 to 100 -- that was a nice moment. In the evening the poet read his essay on " folk literature".
On 10th May he wrote;
" Myself and Panditji took lesson of new songs from the poet. We discssed  about the present social system, Individualism vs Social Abstraction. In the noon, the poet discussed about the family affairs of Sukumar Roy. He wrote a lyric and gifted it to me, " Andhakarer Utsa Hote ".
