Rabindranath and Viswa Bharati (contd-9)-Nov 1919

Kulaura Upazila (maulvi bazar district) with an area of 679.25 sq km, is bounded by fenchuganj and barlekha upazilas on the north, Tripura state of India on the south, Tripura and Assam state of India on the east, kamalganj and rajnagar upazilas on the west. manu River, Hakaluki Haor, Langla Hill and Bamachal Tila are notable.


Akhaura Upazila (brahmanbaria district) with an area of 99.28 sq km, is bounded by brahmanbaria sadar upazila on the north, kasba upazila on the south, Tripura State of India on the east and brahmanbaria sadar upazila on the west. Main rivers are Pagla. Mandail Beel is notable.
Rabindranathy started for Agartala through Tripura  via Kulaura and Akhura station at the invitation of the king's court of Tripura. Umesh Chandra Choudhury and others accompanied him upto Kulaura Station. . Probably Rabindranath reached Agartala on 9th Nov,1919.This is his six visiit to Tripura. Maharaja Radhakishore Manikya was his friend . He died an untimely death in 1908. Rabindranath's last visit in Tripura was about 14 yeaes bacxk. . This time  he was offered a bunglow, "Kunjaban",  on the top  of a hill,  
A blind singer, Dwujadas Roy, came one day sung some songs "Malsi" .
