Rabindranath wrote Rathindranath on 11 April, 1910 (28 Chaitra 1316), "The prayer on the 1st day of the year, 1910 ( Naba barsher Pratham din) will start early in the morning. if you come here at the midnight of the previous day then you will have to face some difficulty because we have to arrange everything in the evening on the day before the ceremony. Moreover, the fruits you will bring with you should be properly utilised. The fruits will be offered to the boys after the ceremony and things are to be arranged on the last evening. So it is better to come in the mail train. If Labanya and Pramod (Nath Roy) come along with you then you should prefer reserved compartment. Bring some amount of ice with you- it is too much hot."
Before writing this letter he wrote another letter on 6th April (23 Chaitra) asking him to bring Mira along with him. It could be assumed that the ceremony of the 1st Baishakh was held with pomp and grandeur. Rabindranath might have delivered a lecture but the printed copy of which was not available.
He wrote a letter to Brajendra Kishore, " We have organised the prayer on the first day of the year early in the morning with all the teachers and students of our school. It is expected that this year will appear to us successfully. I want to share with you the pleasure and happiness we got on that day.
