NewYork Herald had published this news on 17th Nov; "Two of Tagore's plays " -" The Post Office" and "Sacrifice ", will be given in English a series of matinees, beginning Dec 7, at a Theatre to be annonced later.Kedar Nath Dasgupta had come with Rabindranath for this programme to be run commercially. Pearson wrote to Andrews on 23rd Nov that this created an enthusiasm and some artists wanted to take part in this without any remuneration;
But due to the want of publicity the programme did not succeed.
