Rabindranath dlivered a lecture on "Nationalism" and read from his essay in Oliver Theater at Lincoln city of Nebraska state on 8th Jan .
The residents of Lincoln city presented a gift to the students of Shantiniketan and wrote on the body of the machine; " THE LINCOLN PRESS / PRESENTED TO THE / BOYS OF SHANTINIKETAN / BY THE PEOPLE OF / LINCOLN NEBRASKA, USA / JANUARY 8, 1917"
With this machine many books of Rabindranath and other documents were printed after its arrival at Shantiniketan.
Again on 10th Jan, he delivered a lecture on "Nationalism" at Fontelle hotel of Omaha in Nebraska State and read some passages from his writings.
From this place Rabindranath sent the above machine to Shantiniketan by Barnhart Brothers & Spindler Company which reached on 10 July,1917 by S.S.Kasama ship. It was delayed due to participate in War by America.
