Nandalal Basu gave us an important information about the club;
"The full name of the club was " The Bichitra Studio for Artists of the Neo-Bengal School". It was Rabindranath who had given the name "Bichitra". Nandalal said;
" Abani Babu qas the first teacher. Gagan Babu was the director.. The judge of High Court Sir John Woodrope, businessman N.Blant R. S., Muller was the visitor. Foundation Members were Me, Asit and Mukul. Rathindranath was the secretary and treasurer. Classes were held in Bichitra during day time, both in the morning and afternoon. Pratima Devi of Thakur Badi , wife of Alakendra (Parul), Son of Samarendranath (Gaba or Bratindranath), The Children of Gagan Babu -- Kanakendra, Narendra, Hasi, Purnima, Daughter of Sudhindranat- Rama, Ena, Brother of Alakendra -Koko- all were students. Three daughters of Nilratan Babu of Bar Association- Nalini, Arudhati and Mira. There was/were one or two more student/students."
Logo of Bichitra was drawn by me with the ideal of a village cottage. In the time of Bichitra, I have drawn 'poet's pen' - the different functions to be taken there according to poet's idea, the logo contains all the symbols. In one side of the invitation letter of Bichitra there was Poet's Pen and in the other side there was logo of Bichitra. It was stamped with annas one stamp and posted to the address of the members.
There was no formal member. But everybody would come with their own intention."
Kalidas Nag wrote, "the poet read a fine esay on Art, titled "Chabir Anga". Published in Sabuj Patra, Asarh issue.
