Rabindranath delevered another lecture in Detroit.Tribune reported on the same date;
" Sir Rabindranath Tagore...will deliver an unscheduled lecture in Detroit, before departing for Cleveland Monday. This will be Sunday evening at the First Congregational Unitarian Church, Woodward Avenue and Edmund Place. The famous poet accepted a special invitation of the pastor, Rev Eugene R.Shippen. he was a dinner guest at the later's home , !00 Eliot street, Saturday evening." . The news further reported that the house was filled to to its capacity.
Tribune gave the detail reporting of his lecture and said;
" I don't know your world. I have seen your bedrooms, your dining rooms, and your outward life.You seem so engaged in producing so many things. Your actions so meaningless. What your aspiration was, I know not.I know not what are your ideals in life. Life in the open air, under the sky, close to nature, makes one meditate. All should attempt to get in communion with nature to solve the meaning of their own existence."
