Rabindranth and Shantiniketan 1917

Rabinrdanath observed Nababarsha on 14th April, 1917 at Shantiniketan.. He invited some males and females from Calcutta to join the ceremony. Everyone assembled at the temple to join the prayer.After the delivery of the preliminary speech . The song " Pantha tumi panthajaner sakha he".was sung.
In the afternoon Rabindranath  read two essays " Woman" and "The Cult of Nationalism". He wrote this essay "Woman" during his stay in abroad to read it in a gathering of Women . But this was not read in any meeting . This was the first occasion when it was read.
The guests remained in Shantiniketan even on the 2nd Baishakh  (15 April). Rabindranath read two essays on the second day, " "The Second Birth"  (viz Personality)and " Nationalism in India".  After essay discussions was held. The guests went back to their home on the next day by train.
Rabindranath was tired due to his journey in the last three months. Moreover, the pains in his left ear caused by some infection his health and mind were cmpletely out of order. He wrote on 19th April to Pramatha Choudhury;
" Days are rolling by, reading and writing is totally stopped. This is the go of the day for some time.My mind is, therefore, feeling lonely. Only writing will not satisfy my mind just now. That is why, I have taken shelter in the school.I got human company there, got my mental food without any hazards. So, leaving all my obligation I am engaged in worshiping in the temple of children. This temple is free from  odds and I did not neglect my prayer". Thus he was taking classes regularly.
The teachings of Rabindranath was written in the issue of Jaishtha-Ashara (1917)of the hand-written magazine ;
" Human being is gradually becoming grown up, what is the factor that being grown up during this grooming ? ..One is gradually becoming older when one's conscience  gradually grows up  There is a saying,  " Bhumaiba Sukhong, Nalpe Sukhamasty" I posses a conscience which is gradually growing up. This conscience is the key of my being grown up. A revolution is going within myself. There is a contradiction between one life to another. But it is known that there is something known as infinity which is beyond any human conception. The denial of the existence of this infinity is tantamount to the end of life. The motion is always moves to a goal  The motive of motion is to reach that goal. The infinity is that goal. This is  attainment of the goal."
