Last day of Rabindranath in America in Jan.,1917- San Francisco, California (contd-49)

Mrs. Moody wrote to Mrs. Marguerite Gifford on 15th January about the departure of Rabindranath Tagore;
"Mr. Tagore has gone to California. He is speaking tomorrow in Los Angeles, and is to sail from San Francisco on Wednesday, the 17th. Jan 1917.
Rabindranath, too, wrote a letter to Mrs. Seymour from the address, "Cummock School / 200 South Dermont Ave / LosAngeles, California.
Probably at this place he delivered his last lecture .
On 16th Jan Rabindranath wrote his departing Telegram to Mrs Seymour;
" We had comfortable journey pleaset [sic] stop at Lamy where I met Mr. and Mrs. Henderson. We shall at one o'clock and we all send to you and rest of my friends at Ellis Avenue our affectionate greetings and gratitude for all you have done during our visit to Chicago.
Rabindranath left America in Siberia Maru Ship from San Francisco Port with Mukul Chandra, Pearson, and Bankim Chandra Roy  on 17th Jan 1917. Before his departure he wrote to Rothenstein ;
" At last I am going home. My steamer sails today. Last three months my world of space and time was completely dislocated -- my universe was shattered into bits dancing in a whirlpool. I had a hope that the war would be over by this time and i would go and see you. I cannot tell you what a disappointment this has been to me."
