After the inaugural ceremony Rabindranath went to Selaidah but he was anxious tto get the information always. It was decided at the inaugural meeting that on every Saturday the members will meet. Kaloidas wrote in his diary on 17th July, " I was late to come home and could not attain the meeting." Rabindranath wrote on the next day to Manilal, "How was the meeting running? The first Saturday had passed through. How was the dinner and how was the discussion ? How is your teching going on? Whether Kanak had joined." He wrote Rathindranath on the same day, " How is your school, your club is going ? You make a plan so that Bichitra functions smoothly. Don't allow it to die out. "
The next meeting was held on Sunday instead of Saturday. Kalidas Nag wrote on 22nd July , " The poet send me invitation that the meeting will be held on Sunday, 9th Shraban." But Rabindranath was at Selaidah, so it was Rathindranath who wrote the letter. Suddenly, Rabindranath came to Calcuttta . Kalidas Nag wrote on 25th July in his diary," We went to the meeting in the evening. In the morning when we are talking about Art , the poet appeared.. Pramatha Babu was raising some controversial points abut the future prospect, the poet appeared and made a compromise of the whole thing and expressed a sobre, sane and historical comment on Rammohan Roy."
