Satyendranath Tagore was one of the great revolutionaries of India. Being the first ICS [1862-1963] in India, he constructed the first patriotic song " mile sabe Bharat santan" sung in Hindu Mela, the pioneer organisation of Freedom movement.He fought for wemen's liberation in India. His wife Jnanadanandini alone with her two children went to England. It was his support that encouraged her to give up the veil at home. She was the

viceroy.
By the virtue of the will of Devendranath Tagore [1817 - 1905], Dwijendranath, Satyendranath and Rabindranath became the heir of the estate of North and Central Bengal of the Tagore family. Dwijiendranath had given his own share to Satyendranath and Rabindranath at Rs 45,000/- per year by a "Deed of Lease' signed by him on 24 May 1912. But Surendranath, son of Satyendranath, being involved in different business took unlimited loan from the estate and the Agricultural Bank. At this Rabindranath became anxious about the future of both the families and wanted to have a separation of their (Rabindranath and Satyendranath) properties. On 8th May 1920, at his 60th birth day (completion of 59 yrs of age), he did this separation of properties and by this "deed of separation" Satyendranath or Surendranath got the estate of Berhampore parganas and Rabindranath or Rathindranath got Kaligram parganas. Kaligram was not economically viable but due to his affection for Surendranath he accepted this loss.
The detail terms and conditions of the " deed of separation" was known by the Trustee deed made by Rabindranath on 22. Aug 1925 ( after the death of Satyendranath);

After returning home, he prayed for his grand daughter Swarnakumari's day of marriage contract. His voice was appearing unnatural at that moment. As if he his shouting to suppress his pain. he used to pray in the house by sitting on a tool. When he was bedridden, we gave a call to Dr. Nilratan Sircar.
