Rabindranath reached Bombay on 10th Mar, 1923. He had no serious business in bombay other than to attain some social function. On 12th Mar they attended a ceremony of putting "sacred thread" of one of the Bhavs. Bhavas were very rich among the Persees. A band party of 150 heads were beating their drums. He met with Lady Tata and had talk of 1/2 hours and attended a dinner party.
