Nagendranath had published a magazine (Pujabarshiki) for children namely "Parbani" in 1325 Bangabda (1918) but could not publish the magazine in 1326 (1919). This magazine was dedicated to Nitu, his son, at 30 annas. He wrote in the editorial of " Parbani-1327" @ Rs.2.50;
" I assured the children of Bengal by handing over "Parbani" before the Pujas of 1325 that if it gets appreciation from them, I shall appear before them with a copy of "Parbani" each year. I know that the childrens of Bengal are delighted to receive this "Parbani" but I could not keep my promise. After many attempts I was not able to publish it in 1326. Today I have appeared with the 2nd volume of "Parbani" this year in 1327. Before publishing this volume I approached to several persons for cooperation and if they could have subscribed then this volume would have been more entertaining than the previous one.
In this volume the following writers contributed;
Abanindranath, Indira Devi, Satyendranath Dutta, Chunilal Basu, Priyambada Devi, Sita Devi, Parrymohan Sengupta, and Manilal Gangopadhyay. Rabindranath contributed a song Chutir Gaan, " Megher kole rod heseche" musical note written by Dinendranath and "Suoranir Saadh".
