Rabindranath in Japan (contd-16)

Mrs. Tomyko Oyada, the interpreter of Rabindranath during his visit in Japan in  1924 and in 1929, said;
" Our College Principal Dr. Naruse came with his friend philosopher Anasaki to the house of Harasun to see Rabindranath. The heartily invited  Rabindranath to deliver a lecture in Women's School. Gurudev agreed to come to the school."
Rabindranath had an appointment on 2nd July to deliver a lecture in the meeting of the students of different non-Government College students in Keio University in Tokyo. He wrote to Mira Devi;
" Just I'm going to Tokyo to deliver a lecture. This evening I had to take dinner in the Women's College."
But the reporters and journalists of Japan had become dis-interested with Rabindranath and no report was published in any news paper about his lecture or dinner. Stephen Hey wrote;
" Japan Women's University invited him to dinner on 2nd July and in the afternoon of that same day, Keio University, founded by the great liberal reformer Fakuzaw Yukichi was host to the students of the various private Colleges of the Tokyo area, who came to hear Tagore deliver a formal lecture on the topic - "The Spirit of Japan" . The lecture was published by the INDO-JAPANESE ASSOCIATION, TOKYO July 2 1916..
